  • 2 knobs of grilled chicken or steak, halloumi, or roasted veggies
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise or aioli
  • 1 tsp mustard optional
  • Lettuce leaves or baby spinach
  • 2 tomato slices
  • 4-6 slices of red onion
  • Pickles optional
  • 2 slices of cheese cheddar, gouda, or mozzarella
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Olive oil or butter for toasting

  • Prep the Bread:
  • Lightly toast both sandwich rolls with a bit of butter or olive oil until golden.
  • Spread the Base:
  • On the bottom half of each roll, spread mayo or aioli. Add mustard if desired.
  • Layer it Up:
  • Add lettuce first to act as a moisture barrier.
  • Place your grilled knob (chicken, steak, etc.) on top.
  • Add cheese, tomato, onion, and pickles.
  • Top it Off:
  • Spread a thin layer of mayo or sauce on the top roll.
  • Close the sandwich and press gently.
  • Serve & Enjoy:
  • Slice diagonally, secure with a toothpick, and serve with chips or salad.
