Ingredients
  

  • 🍝 San Giorgio Lasagna Noodles
  • 9 –12 San Giorgio lasagna noodles or oven-ready version
  • 🍖 Classic Meat Sauce
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • Salt pepper, oregano, basil to taste
  • Optional: pinch of sugar red chili flakes
  • 🧀 Cheese Mixture
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 egg
  • Salt + pinch of nutmeg optional
  • 🥬 Optional Add-Ins
  • Spinach mushrooms, roasted red peppers

Instructions
 

  • Prepare Meat Sauce : Sauté onion & garlic in olive oil until soft. Add ground meat; brown and drain excess fat. Stir in tomatoes and tomato paste. Season with herbs, salt, pepper; simmer 30–45 mins.
  • Boil Lasagna Noodles :Boil noodles in salted water until al dente (8–10 mins). , (Skip this step if using oven-ready noodles.)
  • Mix the Cheese Blend: In a bowl, combine ricotta, egg, Parmesan, 1 cup mozzarella, salt, and nutmeg.
  • Assemble the Lasagna: Spread a layer of sauce on bottom of a 13x9-inch baking dish. Layer noodles → cheese mixture → sauce. Repeat layers 3–4 times, ending with sauce and topping with remaining mozzarella.
  • Bake: Cover with foil. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes covered. Remove foil and bake 10–15 minutes uncovered until golden and bubbly.
  • Rest: Let sit for 10–15 minutes before slicing for clean layers.
