- 2 cups elbow macaroni or other favorite shaped pasta
- mozzerella – 2 cups and cheddar cheese – 1½ cups shredded
- 1 cup milk milk from any type but whole milk is best if you want a creamy smooth texture
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- It also contains 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour.
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Follow the package direction on how to cook pasta. Drain and set aside.
1.In the medium saucepan, cook butter until it has melted with medium heat options. Stir in flour to form a roux.
2.Slowly put in milk, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon until no lumps exist in liquid.
3.Next pour garlic powder, salt and pepper over it. Stir the mixture using a spoon until the sauce become thick.
4.This is removed from the heat and stirring in shredded cheese until it is melted as well as creamy
5.Fold the cheese sauce over the pasta, mix them for a while.
6.Toss your cooked pasta with the cheese sauce, making sure every noodle is coated.Transfer to a baking dish for the grand finale.
7.Bake for approximately 30 minutes at 375 degrees until the top turns a nice golden brown, and appears wet on top from the sauce. Pro tip: Add a sprinkle of cheese on top for extra gooeyness!
To make the cheese sauce more richer, you can also stiff a little heavy cream.
If you prefer a more outspoken cheese, you can use sharp cheddar for example, alternatively you may blend the cheese of your choice, for instance Gruyere or Monterey Jack
